Timing difference:

For Timing: We start the camera with the start to record finish times and keep it running through the whole field.  This uses up more space and time which is why it costs more.

For Backup Finish: we start the camera as the first finisher(s) come into view of the finish line to insure finish places are correct.  This uses up less space and costs less.
